Community Trading Table
The Community Trading Table is for:
Local backyard gardeners
The table is about creating an opportunity to share excess home-grown produce, and supporting our local community gardens.
It provides an opportunity for customers to try seasonal (sometimes unusual) fruit, vegetables, and herbs. You never know what you might find!
We charge $10 / market to sell produce there. Please make payments at the market desk in the foyer.
To use the table, contact the Market Manager.
If you are at the market for four weeks or more (each year), we ask you to become a Friend of the Market.
We offer an opportunity for local students to bring their business ideas to life.
We welcome individual students with a personal project.
We also welcome groups of students working on projects as part of their school curriculum. In this case, we ask the teacher to co-ordinate all the groups from that school. Ask your teacher to contact the Market Manager.
We ask students to bring a small table, and we charge 10% of sales revenue on the day. The charge is set to:
enable students to build this charge into their prices
ensure that students always make a surplus
students learn about distribution costs
the market receives a small contribution.
